Country Girl Style Fried Apple Pies

Country Girl Style Fried Apple Pies

I’m just a country girl who measures with her eyes more than I should.
I have always just done things my own way. Just a warning for anyone wanting to try this out. I’m not an exact science.

Ingredients:

Apples (I used four Granny Smith)
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 to 3/4 cup Sugar (personally I use just a little more than necessary.)
2 or so Table spoons of Butter (In my world butter measurements are not an exact science because I can’t either get it all out of the spoon or I can’t figure out where the top of my spoon is.)
Biscuits in a can
Powdered Sugar (could be measured in handfuls.  A handful is an actual means of measuring in my world. )
Oil for fryin
I just want to say one thing kinda off topic…
From my “Pumpkin” Sugar Cookies to this is a major leap up in my photo quality. I am very happy with how these photos look! Ok, back to the baking…
I just love how these turned out! They tasted pretty good too.
Skin and chop those apples into chunks.

Add Butter to a pan and let it melt. Then add apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir until apples soften.
Roll out your biscuits and add a dab of the apples to the center.
Pull the edges together and press.
Put them into a pot with oil to fry, flip them to cook evenly.
Then drain them and dust them with powdered sugar.

Then the hardest part, don’t eat them all while you are trying to take pictures of them. 🙂

Happy Baking!
