This was really due last Monday but I have let life get away from me. CB has been sick with a sinus infection and just not really feeling well, she is much better now. Lou has been in a wonderful I love Mommy mood that I haven’t wanted to squander a moment of. Bub has been his ever normal self but feeling a little left out with the girls getting all the attention and has had to have a little of his own. We are really not snackers by nature so Snack Attack was a little harder than Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Dessert. But with CB home sick from school and a day off for me, we were able to get a little bit of work done. Namely these super easy Pumpkin pizzas which Lou refereed to as Pumpkin Pies. Now I am going to tell you how to make your own Pumpkin Pies… Without the pie…. or the pumpkin.
What you need:
Mozzarella Cheese
Pizza Sauce
American Cheese
Biscuits in a can
Pepperoni ( I forgot it in the picture, could be because Bub stole it before I took the picture… Child loves his pepperoni.)
Sharp Pointy Knife
Pumpkin Shaped Cookie Cutter
Flatten the biscuits on a pan. Spread them out a little but. You may have to put two biscuits together to maker sure your dough is a little wider than your cookie cutter. Once you have all the dough circles flattened, add your sauce to the top. The kids loved doing this part. They beat that dough into submission.
This is the part where they add their pepperoni and cheese.
Then take a slice of cheese and using the cookie cutter allow them to cut out their pumpkins. For the faces I would suggest an adult or older child to use the knife to cut the shapes out.
Bake till the dough starts to brown and the cheese is done.
Sure fun, easy, and delicious! Almost as good as a real pumpkin pie.
