Family Fun Movie Night with Minion “Not Banana” Pies and Despicable Me 2

Family Fun Movie Night with Minion “Not Banana” Pies and Despicable Me 2

It’s FRIDAY!!! Tonight we are going to re-watch (for the hundred and tenth time) an all time favorite, Despicable Me 2! My kids can not get enough of those little yellow guys. Although it has helped get them to eat more bananas. They are super stoked about the new movie so I suspect there will be another minion related treat on the horizon…actually I already have it planned.

Minion Not Banana Pies For Family Fun Movie Night

For this weeks treat we made these Not Banana Pies…they are not banana…they are however lemon and delicious.

The Lemon pie mix

To make these cute little lemon treats all you need is a box of lemon bar mix, Oreos, and Sixlets. Prepare the lemon bars as the box states putting them into cupcake liners instead of a pan. It will not take as long for them to bake in the cupcake pan so instead of the 30 minutes they suggest, only leave them in about 20.

For the eyes

I just made these Oreo cookie and Sixlet eyes. They are really easy to make and look adorable. Plus the kids love Oreos! One big Oreo and one small Oreo makes for a cute eye too.
