The journey to the perfect Christmas card photo….It has been long, it has been exhausting…it ended with an “at least there are no tongues, no crazy faces, and there are three children in frame.”
This year we have had several photo mishaps trying to get that perfect photo for our Christmas cards. I’ve been working on it for a couple of weeks now and if you follow me on Instagram you have probably seen and had a good laugh from what has come of each time.
First we had the tongue incident:
Granted there are few keepers in the bunch but the perfect Christmas card picture eluded us that time.
Then I had this idea it would be cute to take photos like they were wrapping presents….didn’t work out as well as I had hoped. At least it was just paper. (No kids were injured physically in the taking of these pictures although there were a few wrapped gifts that were scarred.)
We have had several pictures turn out quite well but they have only been of one or two kids.
Such as this one of CB and the Christmas tree. I love this shot and how the lights are in the background.
This is one we took today. They are both smiling (kinda) and happy. No one is threatening any one, no hair standing on ends, no crazy eyes… but where is CB?
Shh….She was actually telling me to stop singing Christmas songs…I did not.
I suppose I could use this one…than again…
And I actually really love this shot. I think it turned out lovely just not festive. My little model in training.
Than we got this one today… Success. They are all smiling! It may not be completely perfect but I’ll take it!
Whew! I thought I was going to have to give up and send this photo of nuts out… Merry Christmas from the family of nuts. 🙂
