Build A Thanksgiving Turkey With Recycled Juicy Juice Box Free Printable Pattern
Grab a Juicy Juice box and let’s get crafty with this fun easy craft.
Thanksgiving is a very busy time around here. We have family get together events, tons of cooking, and both my husband and my family have different traditions. The kids spend a lot of time being ushered from one place to the next. It’s nice to have a quiet craft to help them calm down after a busy day or just to keep them busy while I try to check off another item on my list. The fact that this craft incorporates one of their favorite drinks is only icing on the cake. I bought this 8 pack Juicy Juice Apply Juice to complete this craft and the same day I watched half of them disappear and the other half followed the next day. It was like magic. 🙂 I was okay with having to get another pack because at least they are drinking something that is good for them and gives them the energy to keep going.
Materials List:
Juicy Juice box
The pattern below
Glue
Scissors
Crayons
STEP 1: Print out a pattern for each child and give them some crayons. Let them be creative and make their turkeys any color they want. I was actually scolded by my three year old that my turkey wasn’t more colorful. I’m guess hers will be more of a rainbow turkey. 🙂
STEP 2: Cut out the pieces around the dark outlines leaving the middle of the turkey’s head from the beak down uncut till you fold it in half. Fold the turkeys head and body in half so the two sides meet. This is when you can cut out the center piece. Doing it this way makes sure they match better and it’s just a little easier.
STEP 3: Add glue to the head and neck of the turkey. Don’t glue the body because we want that to stay open.
STEP 4: Fold the tabs on the sides of the body and add glue to them. Place a tab on each side of your juicy juice box. This gives the turkey a 3D look because it opens the body up.
STEP 5: Glue the tails on using the dots to match side pieces. It takes a good drop on the tail feathers to get them to stick. Glue on the feet and wings and your turkey is done! You can then use it as a center piece for decoration. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving!
