Valentine’s Day Play Dough Counting And Play Mats
13 Fun Play Dough Mats for Valentine’s Day!
Play dough is one of our favorite sensory materials. There is probably a jar sitting on the kitchen table everyday. Lou is always happy to have new play dough mats but I don’t make them nearly as often as I should considering her love for all things squishy.
We often make our own play dough. It’s really easy to do and uses ingredients you probably have in your cabinet. Find out more here.
Set up instructions:
Print and laminate (we put ours in plastic covers but laminating works too!)
PLAY!
In this pdf file you will find 13 different play dough mats. My favorite was the vase. Making this play dough roses was something of a soothing activity today. Much like adult coloring I suppose. I guess this is adult play doughing. 🙂 Fill the vase with your own flowers. 🙂
There is also 10 counting mats. The object is to place the number of “candy” in the heart shaped box and trace the number. They can also place a manipulative in each of the circles in the ten box or more play dough balls.
There is also this valentine sign to build the word Valentine.
The last mat is a cupcake decorating mat. Decorate the three cupcakes and create the number 3.
