Basket Ball Preschool Counting and Colors Activity with Alphabet Match File Folder Game
Count to 10, Match Colors, and Match Upper and Lower Case Alphabet letters with this fun basket ball themed free printable for preschool and kindergarten!
This past week I was able to experience Vacation Bible School for the first time as an adult. This would have been my kid’s first time attending but I only got one of the three to actually go. Anyway, I was over arts and crafts and had a decent time getting it all finished. It was a blessing but a very exhausting one. I learned a lot from the kids and watching how each one of them finished their projects in their own way. I gave them creative freedom and they took it and created beautiful pieces of art. I was quite proud of each of them.
That had nothing to do with this printable set but I just wanted to say it. 🙂 Anyway, there are three different activities in this pack. These are hands on activities that require a little work to set up but not too much. I think it took me about 20 minutes…I can’t cut a straight line and I get distracted by Facebook quite a bit so it may not take you as long. I’m embarrassed to say how long it has taken me to actually write and post this with all my detours along the way. 🙂
What you need:
- Scissors
- PDF Printed
- Tape
- File Folder (for ABC game)
Instructions for setting up baskets:
- Cut out each basket and backboard
- Tape the inside of the tab to the opposite side of the basket.
- Tape the backboard onto the back of the basket.
Activity 1: Counting Baskets
This activity is all about counting. Each basket has a number on it. The children will count that many basket balls into each basket. They could also use pom poms or other manipulative. You could set these up in a row or even hang them from a large piece of cardboard. I would suggest laminating the basket balls… not doing so was the mistake I made.
Activity 2: Colorful Baskets
In this activity they will color match the basket ball to the basket with the matching color of the backboard.
Activity 3: Upper and Lower Case Letter Matching File Folder Game
Place this one inside a file folder for reuse. I would suggest laminating the balls as well as the folder pages and adding velcro dots to the backs of the balls and fronts of the baskets.
