Free Printable Number Sense Number Mats From 1 to 10
Preschool and Kindergarten
Practice number sense skill with this number mat. I’ve made pieces for 1 to 10 but you could easily add on by making your own pieces to fit the mat. You can also create a file folder activity or busy bag with this activity. There is only one mat to have to carry and all the pieces can fit into a small baggie.
Instructions for use:
- Print and laminate the pdf pack.
- Cut out along the dotted lines on each page.
- Stack up the number cards.
- Draw a number card.
- Find all corresponding number pieces for that number and place on correct place on the number mat.
There is several different version of the numbers. Each fits it’s own spot on the mat.

- Ten Frame

- Pennies
- Dashes
- Fingers
- Counting Bears
We have been working on getting a better grasp on number sense around here. It’s a hard concept at times. My daughter has surpassed counting to 10 a long time ago but these mats are great for reinforcing that a number can be wrote in many different ways.
