Going to the Library and picking out a new fresh book to read is always a treat but sometimes you can’t just pop in to the Library. Such as if you are going on a trip. I know I don’t like carrying a stack of books with me while we travel. I also sometimes like the convince of reading online for myself and not having to get out of the house to find a new book.
I love to read and am an avid reader so having a new book every day to devour is a blessing. I found several websites that give my daughter that same blessing. Here is a list of websites that share easy to read and fun books for kids.
Screenshots taken from each site will not reflect any updates to the sites in the future. Just a little disclaimer. 🙂
Unite For Literacy shares books perfect for self reading. They are easy and quick with real images and often about animals or real life situations.
Storyline Online is a site that share videos of people reading children’s books. These are great if you just need a moment while on vacation to take a shower or just have a moment to yourself. Younger kids will love these videos!
Oxford Owl has a wide range of books. This site does require you to sign up as a member but the books are free.
Project Gutenberg shares all the classics. There are more books here for read together times or older children.
I have found I LOVE Open Library for myself. There are so many books for adults and older children to read. I also kinda like the read book look from the scanned in copies. There are some for younger kids as well but the search design and way of borrowing the books make this site more parent friendly.
MagicBlox Children’s Book Library
MagicBlox is another site you have to sign up for but their book collection looks fairly nice for the younger crowd.
Magic Keys has some fun classics and is easy to navigate. There isn’t a whole bunch of books but some good ones.
I’m sure there are more sites out there and I will add on to the list as I find them.
