Game Day Greats brought to you by Kroger. The opinions and text are all mine.

To be honest, I am not a sports fan. I’m not in it for the game but the party that goes along with the game. I love to set up a party and football season gives me ample amount of party opportunities. I can’t get enough of the cute decorations, the themed snacks, the shopping trips… First things first, SHOPPING. Time to make a trip to Kroger. You can get all your game day necessities at Kroger. They have all the snack foods, paper products, and everything you need for a successful one stop party planning shopping trip.

While picking up your game day party supplies at your local Kroger, be sure to check out the in-store sweepstakes with Miller Coors®/Kellogg’s®/Dr Pepper® for fly away trips to Rivalry Games!

The number one thing on my list, Dr Pepper®. We love Dr Pepper® around here and it is usually top of the shopping list. The plan is to use the Dr Pepper® in a super sweet cupcake recipe swap. We will be making a box cake and adding the delicious taste of Dr Pepper® to the cake mix as well as the icing. I can not wait to taste these!

Dr Pepper® is easy enough to find down the drink aisle. The only question is, just how much Dr Pepper® do we need? A buggy full sounds about right.

Finishing out the shopping trip by grabbing our Cheez-It® crackers, frozen chicken wings, paper products, BBQ sauce, and the ingredients for our Dr Pepper® Cupcakes we will be making, we are ready for a football party! The great thing about Kroger is that it’s in and out and I can go home and get the party preparation started.

Remember, you can get all the ingredients to make these game-stopping cupcakes at your local Kroger in the baking and drink aisle. You can get all your game day necessities at Kroger! One stop game party shop.

What you will need:

Dr Pepper® As I said, all these ingredients can conveniently be found at your local Kroger. Mix the cupcakes as the box says exchanging the water for Dr Pepper®. Mix it all together and throw them in the oven on the temperature the box states. These smell so good I had a hard time not licking the bowl clean.

Make your icing with either icing dry mix or powdered sugar. Just add a little bit of softened butter and Dr Pepper® to powdered sugar and stir. We also added our grass colored food coloring although you could always substitute this with your favorite team color. When it dries it will create a kind of sugary glaze on the top of the cake. I chose to go paperless in an effort to make the amount of time from hand to mouth decrease…they don’t want to be paying any attention to unwrapping a cupcake with the game going on.

When your cupcakes come out of the oven you will need to let them cool for a little. This is a good time to do all the decorating. Green table cloth, football paper plates… or you could work on getting all your other game day treats together. When they are cool just add the icing and let it dry. It will be smooth and flatten out on the top of the cake making it easy for shoving straight into the mouth!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Dr Pepper®.
It’s that time of year again that you invite people over just to yell at each other over whose team won. Time to veg out on snack foods while wearing our favorite team’s jersey colors as we bask in the glow of a winning team or feel their losses as deeply as if they were our own. It’s time for some college FOOTBALL!

Now on to the Cupcakes!
